Our communications centre in Christchurch primarily looks after the entire South Island, but does cover the whole country.

There are several reasons you may want to contact the communications centre; You're having a burnoff, a trial evacuation at your workplace / home or school, advising us of thermal fogging, fumigations or even if you're using a smoke machine for the school disco!

If our communications centre knows about these events, then if someone calls 111, then they'll have a record of what's happening and they won't send us out unneccessarily.
